Hi, my name is Paul Sandery and tutoring is a real passion for me! I enjoy teaching students and assisting them with their learning. Building a good rapport with each of my students is essential and I believe this will help them achieve at a high level. I will tailor my lessons according to the individual needs of each student.
Throughout my schooling, I have acquired notes and worksheets for a range of subjects. I graduated from secondary school in 2013 with an ATAR of 99.85.
The SACE subjects that I completed in 2013 are as follows:
SACE Subject and Grade
English Studies - A+ with Merit (top 2% of cohort)
Economics - A+ with Merit (top 2% of cohort)
Music: Solo Performance - A+ with Merit (top 2% of cohort)
Music: Ensemble Performance - A+ with Merit (top 2% of cohort)
Mathematical Studies - A+
Biology - A+
Music: Musicianship - A
Research Project - A
I was SACE Dux of my school and won an award for General Academic Excellence. I also received merit awards for Biology and Mathematical Studies as well as subject awards (best student in the school) for English Studies, Economics and Music.
Furthermore, I was awarded the Governor of South Australia's Commendation for overall excellence in the SACE, which is an award that is only presented to the top 25 students in the state.
I also have experience with the International Baccalaureate Diploma and received a General Academic Excellence Award in Year 11 for my IB studies. Thus, I am also happy to tutor students in the following IB subjects: Biology HL/SL, Economics HL/SL, Maths SL, English HL/SL and Music HL/SL.
I have been playing percussion/drums for 10 years, primarily classical, but also jazz/rock, so general music theory tuition and percussion/drum lessons could also be arranged.
