I am an academically qualified and experienced tutor. I have a Master's degree in Teaching and a four-year Bachelor of Social Work degree. I have a friendly personality, a good sense of humour, and a professional and philosophical approach to learning.
I have been tutoring secondary school- and undergraduate university students for over 3 years. This has been mainly in essay, report and assignment planning and writing with an analytical focus. I also have a wealth of experience in working with primary school students in safe, parent/caregiver-present environments. I am currently involved in temporary relief teaching.
I structure one-on-one lessons by firstly listening to the student’s current concerns and/or objectives. From here, I work together with the student by analysing pieces of work in order to develop strengths, focus and work on areas of improvement, and/or introduce and implement alternative methods of writing. I have a range of resources available for additional assistance, such as textbooks and exemplars (assignments and essays).
I am available:
Mondays (9am to 9pm)
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (4pm to 9pm)
Fridays (9am to 6pm)
Saturdays (10am to 3pm)
Suitable times are best negotiated through contact (mobile – see below – by phone call or SMS).
* Currently taking on and tutoring Year 11 and 12 students for term 4 (exam preparation + planning & editing of written assignments & essays for: English Studies, ESL, Modern History & Social Studies).
